Chrysanthemums, Mums or even Daisies are what you might know them as.
Chrysanthemums have been know for their toxicity for thousands of years. Their potential as a pesticide was first noted in a Chinese pharmacopoeia in 100 A.D.
Natural insecticides within them, chrysanthemum are called pyrethroids which are chemicals that are synthetic.  Though rarely fatal, they are listed among the plants that most frequently poison pets.

They can cause some miserable symptoms if eaten so please contact your vet immediately if your dog has eaten any part of a chrysanthemum or if he starts to exhibit the following symptoms. The onset of symptoms is dependent upon the amount of the plant ingested:
Drooling
Coughing
Clearing the throat
Dermatitis
Vomiting
Lack of appetite
Agitation; and/or
Shaking
